Well, which way did you go? Isn't Barstow a beautiful place? Did you get to visit the world famous Bruce's truckstop east of Bakersfield?

WTH did you deliver in Middletown? I wish I'd caught this earlier, I would have told you eat at the Cowpoke Cafe while you were there.

You didn't get a trip up to the geothermal area, did you?

If you were on a 15% grade on 29 you were probably coming over from Calistoga , which is illegal if you are over 65 ft.

Chk your map! Vegas to Barstow (58 to hwy99 north. I would take 120 to I-5 to the bay area and on to your stop. Do not,,I repeat, do not stop overnight anywhere in the bay area! I just moved from Calif. to Az. and I know from experience to not stop at night anywhere in the East Bay. If you must layover,do it south of San Jose or north of San Rafael. I've lived and worked in calif. up and down the state most of my life. The guys are correct about the speeds and the lanes. Once your north of the bay area, scales are not a problem. Enjoy your trip.

I deliver drilling supplements into the Geo-thermal well site regular. Not really a problem unless the road is wet. Beautiful Area.

Which area? Do you get up Socrates Mine Road? I hauled dirt up there in the early 80's. I still live in Mendo. Co.
