Carriers that don't require a refresher?

    Not much at all. I did my OTR training, tested out to go solo, and at the urging of my girlfriend at the time, returned home in hopes of finding a local gig. I was one of the foolish ones who didn't listen to the placement people at driving school insisting that a year be put in OTR before trying local.

    Western Express does a free refresher coarse by that I mean you drive teams with a trainer for two weeks for three fifty a week then you get your.own truck. I just did it.

    Schneider has no refresher course said you need 1 month experience in 10 years I heard.

    Swift will put you through a refresher. 2-3 day orientation. 1-2 weeks with a trainer. They will pat you during orientation and training. You WILL NOT pay them.
