That about covers it for a non-tech. There are many other tests that we use, but they involve VOM meter and power probe with a schematic to guide. Sorry, it may be time for a tech to look at it.

Same problem, dimmer switch not working. No light power to gauge cluster at all. I noticed this after I switched the radio but all the wiring appears to be correct. Unless something is feeding power off the speakers? That wouldn’t make any sense.

Mine did that last night while driving. The dash lights went out but other things still worked. I heard to go to auto zone and they can find a code

One Columbia here did that. Electrical work can be time consuming and a truck had to be running. We found that there is a mini fuse in the the panel for dash lights ( and the clock ). If power is put to it the dash lights lite. I put the top corner of a fuse on the bench grinder wire wheel. Then soldered a wire to it with a spade connector on the other end. Plugged the spade into an unused fuse spot that turned on with the key. Power had to go through the fuse to power the lights. They were on bright but that was a lot better than having to use a pocket flash light . Work slowed up and Chip S pointed me to the green wire deal.

Try that search block on the top right. Ask your question in different ways if you do not find what you are looking for.
Of course you already checked the fuse and switch?
    Welcome aboard!

On our truck ( day cab ) it was a corroded connector behind the right door. Behind the panel at floor level.
I have read of others having issues behind the kick panels. Sometimes the right windshield leaks and causes problems at the fuse box. Later models came with a plastic cover over them.

    QUALITYTRUCK Thanks this.
