Where is everyone #5

Hello all, stopped by to say hello to the old gang. No excuse for not checking in more often. Hope you are all doing well in these crazy times. Time sure does fly, the older you get. Been crazy busy the past year, if I knew retirement would be so busy, Ida kept truckin'. Been helping son with his heavy equipment repair business, among other things, always swamped.
No covid for my wife and I, nor anyone we associate with, we both qualify for the 65+ older vaccine, she's had her second shot, I've declined the vaccine, want to see a little more what goes on.
Renewed my CDL A and all endorsements for another 5 years, got a fresh 2 yr DOT physical. Just couldn't stand to turn them in, WTH, ya never know. Promise I'll check in more often, found some more of my old truck pics I'll post if anyones interested.

A family was eating in the restaurant when their pickup was repoed. Son looks to be 10 and the daughter about 3. No coats. Temp outside is 40 degrees.

I've lost my compassion apparently. First thing I think of is why are these people going out to eat when they obviously can't afford to?

 

I grew up with a mom that could easily be talked into buying junky cars. Being broke down was common, and so we always wore shoes that were comfortable for long distances.

WAIT: Update. The truck wasn’t repoed, it was towed because it was parked on a private lot! Wowzers!

 

I actually hear this maybe once or twice a week..? Although I didn't know the bands' name.. lol

In this day its probably a backward way of doing things, but I'm the guy still flipping through the fm radio constantly.. Seems I'm lucky to get signal for more than 30mins at a time..?

 

Tesla, a real crap band, did a cover. That’s probably the one you'll hear on radio.

 

I've heard Tesla's version more often on the radio.

Crazy but the local station actually plays Extreme and Mr Big somewhat regularly.
