What if it Snows?

OR we could make it much more training intensive/cost prohibitive for people to obtain a license. All these city jackwagons want to emulate European countries, they never mention their difficulties in obtaining a driver's license though.

 

My wife WAS a notoriously bad driver, but through years of critiquing she no longer scares the spit out of me. Even her wreck recently, while I am angry about her driving in those conditions wasn't horrible. She lost her license for a year (narcolepsy), and when she got her permit I spent quite a bit of time training her. The bad habits of being "nice" were the first I got rid of, also got her in the habit of "what is the most absolutely stupid decision drivers near her could make".

 

I am all for the tiered licensing system. For all types of vehicles. Want to drive a big high performance V-8, well its going to take a few years and some testing and some cash. You have to work your way up to it. Get a citation, yep gonna add some time to your current license. If your one of the no clue, stoopid types, your never going to get out of the 4 cylinder class.

 

That would be fine, except those 4 cylinder vehicles can now run and compete with the v8 off the floor at times. A tiered road system would be more functional; except that we know a person may drive fine on 1 but not the other despite, or perhaps because of, experience.

The truth is there is no adequate way of fixing these issues. Even basing it off of tickets is far from "fair". An officer will cite a vehicle for doing 5mph over the limit, while ignoring the individual doing 50 in a 75.
