I guess that settles it. I just wondered how and what most other single O/Os keep track of. Thanks for all the input. I’m a firm believer in not giving them a chance for a citation.

Another question I have, is do any of you do your own annual inspections? I’ve read all the Guidelines. Seems I should be able to. But still don’t want a potential Liability issue, if ever a problem.

You can do your own. I have and also passed DOT inspection.
I prefer to get a second opinion on my truck and trailer condition at least once a year. Just in case I miss something. Usually just before Winter.ZVar, Rideandrepair and 650cat425 Thank this. -
I have a small ring binder I use for my ifta milage they I also use to keep track of repairs on my truck/trailer as well as a separate fuel log, not so much for dot which you are supposed to do, but because I have a horrible memory and know I’ll forget and want to see what I get out of steers or when the last time I greased it was...

Keep a running Xcel book for maintenance. Makes it so easy.

If you do your own repairs is there a requirement for a log for the on-duty time of doing those repairs?
