Some members (as well as some non-members viewing the site as guests) choose to give their contact info when they fill out job applications with companies through the 'Trucking Jobs' link at the top of the page. The forum side of TruckersReport that you're participating in now doesn't ask for member phone numbers and doesn't want your phone number.

I've always let those calls go to voicemail...they called from a Memphis area code. I didn't trust it either...the weird thing was, I got a call well past a year after I was checking out job postings on here.

    Rideandrepair Thanks this.

Have you downloaded Hammer app from here ? Pretty sure that's where they got my phone number.

This whole "mystery call from The Trucker's Report" thing has me scratching my head! It's like something out of a trucker suspense novel. Was it some kind of industry insider with a hot tip? Maybe an unexpected fan of Big Red (love that nickname for the forum!)?

Personally, I'd be tempted to call the number back just to see who's on the other end and know who called. But with all the robocalls these days, it could just be a dead end. Anyone else out there get a similar call? Maybe if we compare notes, we can crack the code on this trucking industry enigma!

Hi all, it’s a good idea to be skeptical, but the call is most likely legit. The free services and tools we provide (like the forum and Hammer Navigation) are supported through our job advertising.

When you apply for jobs on TruckersReport or sign-up for Hammer, there’s an optional check box to receive calls from us. If you click the check box, we’ll call you and let you know about the companies that are looking to hire drivers with your experience.

If you accidentally opted-in to these calls and don’t want to receive them, no problem, just let the caller know that you don’t want to receive these calls anymore and would like to be put on the Do Not Call list.
