If you keep the same trailer you could put one or two back there. Or you could also put one in the cab to see your reaction when that deer jumps out in front of you.
I have a dash cam but don't download often. I just turn it on everyday so I have evidence in case something happens. Though, I would like to have a monitor I could see from a camera on my blind side or back of the trailer.

Greetings from Colorado Springs.
Since I am new to the trucking boards, my questions may cover information previously discussed. So, here goes.
Has anyone tried to mount a video system on the rear of a truck to enable them to see any tailgaters in the blind spot? If so, what type of system. -
I use the wireless camera to record behind me I can pull it off and remount it on the next trailer as it uses a magnetic mount, I could technically send the feed to a monitor in the truck but currently I do not, and simply just let the dvr record it all mostly because I don't HAVE a small tv to do such with maybe when we are better off $ wise we will get one but it is totally possible to buy a wireless camera and switch it out as you change trailers as that is what I have been doing.
I had one snag, the DVR had a password on it from the old user so I lost all that video from the last 2 weeks because I had to reinstall its OS. But no biggy there wasn't anything overly interesting anyway, and I had backup recording of the accident. -
Sorry, I don't have an answer for your question though. -
How well does that wireless camera work mounted way back there? Does it use batteries or can you wire one into the trailer power if you always pull the same trailer?

Could recommend a website which revews dash cameras?

I'm thinking of a similar setup - as for the magnet mounted trailer one i would be afraid i would forget it.
for inurance purposes i would make sure the cameras can record activity from all sides outward, you would not need to have much of the truck in the shot. -
if you're still looking for places to mount the last couple, i'd put them on the passenger side to get good coverage of entrance ramps and the boneheads that come down them texting and talking on cellphones and don't bother looking for a spot to merge until they've only got 500 ft left... then they look over their shoulder at you and give you a dirty look for not moving over a lane...
i see it once or twice a week but i could sit and watch a compilation of those dirty looks ha ha ha -
I had a camera mounted on the dash. The great commonwealth of virginia advised me to remove it. Claimed it obstructed my view, which it did not do. So is it legal to have a dash camera?? Anybody know ? Thanks
