OK... rollin' on to next pick up!
-
well i made it past my 90 day mark...... averaged 501 miles per day.... not bad considering that includes any time off or waiting to get loaded and unloaded etc....was a little weird yesterday.... driving thru snow in vanhorn texas and el paso
-
Those are some nice numbers! Any pictures of your truck yet?
-
yup! he left out texting and talking on the phone!!! but, Jarbo tals so much on the phone, you can never get through! I can bet a dollar to a donut he talks in his sleep!!!
Man, you do have it made!!
Jarbo will NEVER see that message!!!!!!
Okay, I went to the shop for my "free" alignment from when I got into my new truck (I am the second driver, but it only had 66K on it), and to my surprise, it took them......ready for this?!!!! 6 1/2 hours to do an alignment. So, by the time it was finished, the planners had all gone home. So I had to wait for the morning to get a load. Get the call that there is a trailer on the yard to go to Stockton, CA, come get the paperwork and get out of Dodge. Hook up, clear the gate, hit the road. FINALLY! Oh-not so fast, Buckwheat. Cruise control doesn't work. Hmmmm.....it worked when I took it into the shop. What gives here? Pull over and call shop. "Well (said with a thick southern Bubba accent) We didn't do nothin' to the cruise control. Why you blamin' us?" Well, maybe, just maybe, I think it is your fault since it worked when I took it in there, and now it doesn't. That would be my first hint. Second, your mechanic is the one that took the steering wheel off to center the wheel after the alignment, NOT me. (BTW, the steering wheel was at approx 12:30 to 1:00 before, and now it was at 10:30 to 11:00. Good job there fellas!) Me- can you send someone out here to check it out? Shop- Naw, you gots to bring it back here. Me- Well, that is going to add 50 miles to my trip, costing me more money. Shop- You want it fixed, or not?
So, I head back to Sapulpa.....and I was out of there in record time! Only 2 1/2 hours! Bottom line....9 hours for a front end alignment. Moral of the story....I will not take this truck back to that shop for ANYTHING if I can help it.
Talked to Jarbo, and I informed him that I will laugh all the way to Stockton, CA. Only to keep me from getting angry!
I STILL HAVE A SMILE ON MY FACE!!!!! I still like JCT, and don't want to discourage anyone from applying there, just don't care for the shop!
Okay, I am done now. I will never bring it up again.Last edited by a moderator: Dec 3, 2009
