The dumb bugs and may flies were so thick up in Michigan in some areas that you had to stop every rest stop and get out my pump up sprayer with dishwashing soapy water and my brush to break them down.
Right at the end of working hauling milk I bought a $99 1200 psi electric pressure washer that fit in my side box and ran off the inverter .
I had 2 square kitty litter buckets with lids filled with soapy water, I used those because they were lower than a 5 gallon bucket and fit in my side box.
I put 2 quick connects in the bottom side of buckets to connect to the 12 volt water pump I had mounted .
Easy peasy flip the switch on for the pressure washer and pull out the 25 feet of lightweight hose and blast the windshield clean in a minute.
Turbo nozzle really cleans them off.
Drives me crazy not having a spotless windshield when the sun is low. -
Streakin beacon makes a killing off me with the total wash. I drop the trailer in the bay and have the frame inside and out, rear ends, front end degreased, under the cab everything. Even get trailer tandems and axles washed.
Summertime after polishing yeah streakin beacon can shove it.
But I always get top dollar on trade. After 6 or 7 years my trucks and trailers still look #### near show room new inside and out.bzinger Thanks this. -
I can't find it right now, but I am sure in the little green book there is a DOT reg that says Petes must be clean and shiny. I am sure it's there. I wouldn't risk the fine if I was those drivers.
bzinger Thanks this.
