I have my own truck and trailer and want to hire someone to haul my remaining 60,000 bushels of corn about 45 miles round trip. I want to pay him hourly. I’m in iowa and would like to know the going rate. He would have to set 1 auger.

You want to hire someone to drive your truck and trailer? Or hire someone with their own truck and trailer?
Plenty of good drivers working for 16-18 per hour. I wouldn't work for that but Plenty do.

As far as the OP, that would be $1 a bushel or higher which obviously is too high. However, with grain being higher then I’ve seen it in years and with a looming contract dead line. Who knows!?!?Deere hunter Thanks this. -
Farmers in this part of Iowa that pay by the hour for somebody to drive their trucks are paying between 15 & 18 dollars a hr for just exactly what your asking about
