As long as you have somewhere for the pressure to go such as an open bleed fitting or into an empty pumpthen pressurizing a tank will help.

It works for some and doesn't for others. Didn't for me this time.

If I had the fitting yes. I've seen places have a tank they could pressurize with that fitting on it to prime the system through it.

I'm going to set up a vacuum to the return from the head to try and pull fuel and air through the whole system.

I had thought of that after the fact. While I pressurize the tank its sending that to both feeds and returns with I'm guessing the hope being eventually the bubble moving somewhere that it can get fuel to injectors to fire and overcome an air pocket.

I hadn't considered cracking a line and pressurizing the tank. I'll crack the return in the morning so it has to force air/fuel through the head and all all the way to the pressure regulator

Some days I wish I was blissfully ignorant to anything mechanical. Then I could just whip out the wallet and let someone else maintain my vehicles like 99% of the population. But no, I was blessed with this curse and must do it myself.

Or maybe I'm just cheap AF and don't want to pay someone less capable $140/hour to change an alternator belt.

    Definitely scenario #2 :biggrin_2559:

You otta git spanked for even thinking to get it done. I dont mind tinkering in the shop doing basic stuff. Except when it turns into lysdexis situations.

I love what I do for work. Love playing with cars and stuff. I absolutely DESPISE working on my daily driver. Not looking forward to doing ball joints, shocks and brakes later this summer. Might be a 2 weekend deal on the ball joints. One side one weekend, the other the next lol.

Only Ford would design an engine where you have to take the tensioner off the alternator belt in order to get the A/C belt to slip past the crank pulley. Glad I got it done. The A/C belt was split right to the cords, straight across in 1 spot. Suprisingly enough all my pulley bearings were good.

Weather needs to pick a direction and stick to it. Forecast says 4C and thunder/rain in an hour or so. Bright and sunny right now. Really want to go out and thrash on my new mountain bike.

Just got back from the registry. My daughter got her learners license. Spent the last hour driving county roads and doing parking lot maneuvers. I'm about 1/3 grey hair now, this should finish that off.
