That second driver did a kick ### job avoiding the first truck and still putting his rig in the gravel.

You forgot to mention that English is derived from Celtic, Gaelic, Saxon German, Norse, Old Dannish, and French. Then the priests tried to apply Latin grammar rules. Then we dropped a couple of letters - the ashe and the thorne - somewhere around the 1350s.

In short the english language is a camal - a horse built by committee. Like the camal, english is unwieldy but surprisingly nimble and robust.

And yet, in StarGate nearly everyone on nearly every planet speaks English.
Though their written documents do not usually follow the same.

Me thinks those ramps are causing more accidents than they’re avoiding.

    Dang 2 customers at once!

On a serious note, I tend to help out form time to time on truck wrecks, usually at the curve that gets ya if you don't take the runaway ramps above. Always keep my head on a swivel in case another one comes barreling down.

Yeah, except in Colorado, they have the 35 mph curve BEFORE the ramp. Last year, we lost another on Monarch Pass, seems a driver from Texas topped the pass loaded at 35 mph, fried the brakes going down, 1/4 mile before the ramp, they have a 35 mph curve, they estimated this truck was going almost 60 when it hit the curve, failing to negotiate it, never even made it to the ramp, went off the edge, and the driver was killed. Way to go CDOT,,
