Most 379s are O/O. Freight on certain things, in certain areas is through the roof. Time to run hard and clean it a little later than usual for some.

I am at Sapp Bros in Council Bluffs tonight. I saw two Pete's come out of the Blue Beacon. The world is balanced now.

I remembered when you first bought that “project” truck. It came out excellent. Well done. I did follow some of your post when you went thru the roof cap on the truck. Awesome job.

thanks, still not done yet, just done to the point im using it now, knocked out over 10,000 miles on it already in the last few weeks. there's a whole series on youtube on around 50 videos of re building the truck, body work paint frame stretch adding the pusher axle, swapping in a 18918b transmission new interior motor work ect.

probably this winter going to in-frame the engine and try to build a reliable 550 hp or so out of it. still got to add a second air cleaner and iron out some little things. then even more things that are kinda down the road when everything else is done, like doing a big hole conversion on the sleeper pass threw air ride cab ect, is any project ever done....lol

really happy with how its come out so far.

Classic thread. I will say that most people don't give a #### about these trucks. They can't tell the difference. That's how I was, even back in the nineties when I was in college. All trucks were the same to me. There's a truck, whatever.

But now I have an appreciation for these machines. I wouldn't want to spend the time or money, but I really like the way these long-nose trucks look. And I surely wouldn't want to live in one, even 3 nights a week. But #### I can appreciate their looks now.

Funny, my Dad who became a CEO, I noticed appreciates these trucks also because he came from a small town and understands the culture. But he raised me on tennis on golf. Yet when we we were out one day he remarked on an old long nose we saw fueling a gas station. He recognized the presence of this machine which means nothing to me.

I'm just trying to make money now. I don't care about looks. But I try to stay respectable enough looking to avoid unnecessary inspections. And I'm in a 2015 garden variety Freightliner.

If I had put all my savings in Bitcoin early last year, i probably would have got one of those RV trucks with a bathroom and all that.
