I got it straightened out finally. Tired as hell and the lady in payroll kept saying " no it paid". Finally she looked and "oops".

I have had several issues like this it always starts with back and forth on QualComm then eventually i just get pissed and call. today was not a good day for me to call cause I haven't slept a combined 3 hours in the last 48. Yea watch payroll closely

I to am thinking of starting with this company. I have driven a truck before but I only have CDL-AP. But, I hear that I'm going to have to retake the whole learners test over again. How is the schooling in Pine Bluff, Arkansas? Is the location in a good place? Also, what is the governed limit on the truck? And, do they have a limit on the Idle time? Any answers would be greatly appreciated.

What is a CDL - AP ?? Did you talk with a recruiter ? I have experience but havent been driving for almost 5 years. they are letting me take a 1 week refresher course then after that 4 weeks with a trainer # $500.00 a week. then thay are bumping me as a T-3 driver, which means more per mile... Dont know about how the school is, it's just a fomality for me cause i know how to drive just need to get back in the swing of things, ya know.... not sure about the trucks, But i believe most of the trucks have apu's.. hope this helps alittle. good luck to you !!

I wish the running was that hard. I was sitting up in N Little Rock getting a 34 hr restart (not that I needed it), and got a message saying there was a load in trouble and was on its way to me to deliver the next morning in ft. worth. Guy gets there at aout 8pm, it takes till nearly 10 before I get all the information (like where to fuel) then I run most of the night to get to Ft Worth. after delivery I went to the yard to get my 2010 IFTA sticker which wasn't there like was told it would be, and had hell going to sleep cause people kept banging on my truck door since I had an empty trailer. I then get the next load that delivered yesterday an hour south of Olive Branch (bottom side of Memphis off the loop where US78 is) Anyways I got some much needed sleep last night and now I am sitting about 250 miles from there and took about 5 hours to run it.

The school in PineBluff is a joke to be honest, if you know nothing about trucks you will learn a little bit, but if you have experience you will be there less than a week. The green mile is where they start everyone with freighshakers who's transmissions are looser than a lot lizard, when I was there only 1 out of 4 training trucks actually had a heater.

After the green mile they put you with 1 of 2 guys to start doing some road miles, this is where I actually learned quite a bit about making my shifting smooth from 1 of the trainers named Marvin. When you scracthed a gear he would make you pull over and go through the entire progression from 1-10 and 10-1, then do it again, and again.

Thanks for the answers. I have driven a truck before, not much though probably >200 miles and I have my CDL-AP (Georgia CDL learners Permit). All I need is my regular CDL's. I'm just a little afraid of the pre-trip and driving test. I drove a old Werner Freightliner Classic Condo Cab, it had a super 10 speed. I'm supposed to go on December 28th. Just trying to find out all the information that I can before I actually go. What kind of trucks do they normally have and what kind of transmission do they have gear wise. Thanks again.

Oh. I have one other question. I live on I-20 about 2 exits from the Georgia/Alabama line. How often will I get home?

Hometime is 1day for every 7 out. A word to the wise though you get better dispatches when you stay out longer.

The driving test is so simple you have to REALLY be an idiot to fail it.

On idling time they are cracking down on it, but it isn't as serious as some companies yet, the simple answer is just don't mistreat it. I have issues with FFE there are definately things I don't like about them, but I know other drivers who sit both sides of the fence (love it/hate it) while I am stuck in the middle on my opinion of them.

the speed in truck reads at 63/64, however max I have gotton mine without gravity helping is 62.

Do they have APU's? I'm sorry I'm not to educated on them. I've never used them. If they do have APU's does that count against Idling. Are you allowed to take your truck home? I'm excited about starting with this company. I know that every company has its bad and good sides. And about the staying out longer. How long would you recommend to stay out? And, do you have to ask to go home or do they offer it to you? That may be a stupid question but I thought I would ask.
