I will be removing the head on my t660 c16 engine to fix the oil leak soon and thinking about changing cams to c18 . Just wondering about feedback who has them , will it be worth and beneficial for me . I don't do any heavy haul and max gross is 80 maybe 30% of the loads

Why bother, you can get 750 out of an acert with just software......
shooter19802003 and 77fib77 Thank this. -
Its not acert though ...its 7czVampire and shooter19802003 Thank this. -
EverytHing i have always read about installing marine cams, the owners wish they either didnt do it or they revert back to old cam. You already have a c16. why get greedy nd run into potential issues when you are already working with boatloads of torque
Lalito.1234 and feldsforever Thank this. -
...i was reading while ago that specially c16 with c18 cams will make nice low end torque ...compared to c15
77fib77 Thanks this. -
I’d find the right person to tune that thing and leave the hard parts alone. -
If you idle for sleeping comfort ... you will not like the marine cam. It doesnt idle for #### even at 1000+ rpm.
little more black smoke
might get some flutter with stock flowing injectors.
