on the unload part i found out what they pay it wasnt worth the unload since you had to break down according to the sheet the receiver gave you i used that time to sleep or catch up on paper work the usually issued a comcheck after u sent in the macro just make sure you had the po or they took it out of your check let the lumpers do it

 

I'm totally new at this. How much do you have to pay the lumpers? I'm guessing it looks as if your unloading the packages so they still pay you for it but you pay the lumpers up front. Is that correct?

 

What I meant is it looks to the company as if your unloading the packages. Sorry if I confused you

 

you didnt what happens is most places have a lumpers have service there and they tell you up front how much it cost then you send a macro in and get the authrization number for the comcheck then pay the lumpers now if you choose to do it what will happen is when you send in the final unload message they ask you if you unloaded yourself and if you did on your settlement you get paid but like i said its like a dollar per 1000 pounds so 40,000 is like 40 dollars but the service might charge 400 bucks so u see not worth the hassle

 

will the company pay them 400 dollars? Is that what your getting authorized? Or, will the company only pay 40 bucks and you pay the other 360 (If they charged 400)?

Thats cool.. Too bad they don't pay the drivers that. LOL. So, you get there and the lumpers quote you a price you send it in on your qualcom and they (FFE company) sends you a po to give to the lumpers in order to pay them. Is that right?

 

Yea. Pine bluff is kinda got me uneasy. I've driven before just not much. I'm afraid of the pretrip test and the driving test. I dont' want to fail it.
