Somehow it's doubtful you even know what a machine gun is, or how difficult it is to obtain one.

I believe that's a record, 2020 was the worst for traffic fatalities. Usually, those fatalities are one at a time, and don't get the attention, but a mass shooting covers a lot more ground. The president calls these shootings a "National Embarrassment", and quite frankly, I don't see an easy way out of this. I tell ya', any "popping" noise, I'm hitting the floor, alive, I hope. I was at the local Wallymart the other day, renewing my "parks and Wildlife" permit to ride my bike on their lands, and that's okay, but I couldn't help notice, all the guns in the display case. The "ammo" cage was empty, for whatever reason, I said to the clerk, who is a friend of mine, "there you go, you can have all the guns you want, just no ammo". She agreed. My nephew has an AR rifle, that I believe, he built himself from the internet.

I do. The more responsible, trained citizens who are armed actually reduces gun violence and crime in general. More guns, less crime.

Only part way thru this video but... If CWP is great and we can agree that it's helpful in terms of society and crime...does this not perhaps lend some support to the background checks? These permits require a bit of screening...which is something a majority of Americans support.
As an aside I couldn't find the date on the video but I lived there (L/A) from 1996-2001. Maine was very low in violence except rape but very high in property crime. Not all crime is the same.

None of these shootings are performed with machine guns, and the NRA hasn't done anything to benefit gun owners in two decades. Where are you getting this info?

    Sirscrapntruckalot and 201 Thank this.

Wow, rocket science! Because nobody would have ever thought that less people on the streets equals less crime!

They also would have found that neutering the same women to stop them from having any children ever in the future would have seriously reduced crime but since they don't actually stop baby killers from choosing to pretend to raise another one later they'll never have to comprehend that mathematical equation.

Unfortunately in a vast majority of these cases the shooter isn't 'just' evil or perhaps not evil at all. Lots of depressed, angry, mind-altered, or otherwise acting on disturbed mental processes. That's not evil just f'ed up. Evil that plots and premeditates doesn't appear to be the common shooter profile. IMO Bernie Madoff was evil. The Atlanta dude was mentally ill. Mr Fed ex who knows...probably did not do it from a malicious nature as much as situational as most workplace killings seem to be

When people decide it's time to end it, they're going to end it. Suicide is not "gun violence". Twice as many people are killed in traffic accidents than victims of gun violence. Also, your source uses Vox as a source, lmfao. And the FBI hasn't released 2020 data yet. I'm sure the number is up from 2019. What do you expect? People are out of work, pissed off, and have plenty of time on their hands to do some killing.

And as far as "mass shootings" are concerned, even your own source admits it uses a very general definition of mass shooting, and still goes on to say that mass shootings are barely a blip on the radar.
