I think Covenant pays for Idle Air, or a least a portion of it.

 

I'll be honest and tell you what my trucking school told me:

Stevens, Swift, US Express, Covenant, Lester Coggins, and Willis Shaw were hiring. I would try Cypress as well. Werner is hiring north of Jacksonsville.

Cypress wants experience. Plus they are really, really weird with their hiring process but if you can get in I hear they are pretty good to work for.

North American Tank Lines and Indian River if you're interested in tankers. Maybe look at Ruan too, I think they take new drivers.

 

I bet all my money that an't the case.Last I heard swift,us express and covenant are not hiring in florida OR only hiring drivers with 6 months or experience.School will tell you anything to keep you in.

As for werner,give them a call within a week or 2,I bet it will change where they are hiring in your area.Also us express only hire drivers north of orlando/i4 area and never hired south of that.

I got off the phone with Swift a couple of days ago. They ARE hiring down to ft. pierce. I will call Covenant on Monday but am willing to bet money they are taking students.

So what we're trying to say is take what you can get and change later if you aren't happy.

 

I called covenant before I posted. I am not a recruiter, but I stay current on who IS hiring down here. Give WSE a call also. If you drag your feet, do Not blame me. There are few opening for florida drivers, Best Of Luck !!!!

 

Swift told me when I graduate from RM, I was looking # January 20-Feb2nd start date for orientation.
