When I had my accident I went in and asked my safety manager and he pulled up the policy right there and said I didn’t have to provide nothing cause it was ruled a no fault
truckdriver31 and T.Rucker Thank this. -
Just out of interest how much training do you guys get by Walmart before being sent out on the road by yourself? Someone on YouTube mentioned an orientation at $24 an hour?
truckdriver31 Thanks this. -
i spent 2 weeks with my trainer

Like so many policies and procedures at WM, it's going to vary from DC to DC. There is no set guideline on how long you'll spend on orientation and training. It's going to depend on your trainer, how quickly you progress through the orientation steps, and how fast and thoroughly you learn all the WM steps from hook to delivery. I was the only driver at the time going through my DC's orientation, so I sped through it all in 3 days and was set loose. Average time now is between a week or 2.Andyh335, T.Rucker and truckdriver31 Thank this.

I was only at Walmart for 2 years. Lots of rules and micromanaging. Good job for some people but not me. Not a healthy job either just sitting and holding a steering wheel. Before that in the oilfields in North Dakota for several years. I started my own business. I miss driving....sometimes.T.Rucker and truckdriver31 Thank this.
