I stood up for Amazon because I was making good money throughout peak season now I won't piss on their trailer.
Amazon just started a new program that is gonna kill the rates even further. They're offering up to 10 trucks they make payments and maintenance cover fuel you pay drivers and insurance. They load you on a 76 hr block. You need to hire 2 drivers per truck.
There's gonna be a flood of trucks hitting the spot market once this program gets operational.
The area I run all the container guys pull Amazon also. A bunch of beat up ### trucks with nobody who speaks english thinking $1.08 per mile from Vegas to Phoenix is a good deal

Q1, Amazon provided me with 15000 miles and $32,000. That’s $2.13 per mile, 1100 miles per week and ~$2500 per week...all gross. The only payment I must make is fuel as I own the truck and I paid for insurance a year in advance. I get a significant fuel discount with my fuel card. I put away $1.20 per mile to cover next years expenses, taxes, and whatever else. The rest allows me to work a couple of loads per week and then take a week off. Not a bad gig. I’ll get lots of boat time this summer thanks to Amazon and come the fall, I’ll have access to their significant PO rates. Your results may vary.
Speed_Drums and crossroads50 Thank this. -
Not bad at all / do you mind me asking what’s ur typical fuel discount and with whom? And did you end up using a ghost policy.

Thanks...we all have different goals. I have gotten as much as $119 discount on a fill up. Average is around $75. The card is TSD. I’m not sure what a ghost policy is?
