So the Purdue guy was "partly" right. There are no loads in the area that are set for dispatch till after midnight tonight. BUT there is a meat load from Mountaire Farms up in Lumbridge, NC. Those are drop and hook and normally loaded early. So I grabbed that one. It is taking me to MO. So a better lane area than I am trapped in currently. Just trying to decide how soon I should start heading up that way. Plenty of time. Plus plenty of time to the receiver. 1100 on 04/21/21 apt. So based on my normal start time of 0600. I have 2.5 days to make 1k miles.

Are you doing a lease purchase? If not, when did Stevens start letting their drivers pick where they wanna go and turn down loads?

 

Not doing a lease purchase. That is for sure. At least not currently. Stevens will allow turning down loads. Just can't make a habit of it.

Best advice I can give, don't ever do a LP through a big carrier on a newer truck. Hell Im buying my truck from my co and Im already going to refi it most likely so I can go somewhere else when the time comes.

Lead singer hugh dillon is also an actor. Played lead character on the show flashpoint.

There was a very low budget film called hard core logo. It's a classic. He stars. Filmed all over canada and in Edmonton.

 

Never knew that he was an actor.

I'd like to see a few more of these old bands before they disappear. I was fortunate enough to see Van Halen last time they were in Edmonton. Ed is one of my guitar idols and it was great to have the chance to see him shred live.
