On the fence about buying a cb radio i know it helps alot to talk to other drivers, but its the same as not having a cb when there are no other drivers that have them

some shippers/receivers will contact you via the cb once you enter thier site. just not all shippers/receivers however.
good to have turned on, and listen to traffic jams up ahead, maybe even bad weather at times.

I use mine very little,,usually at the yard only. Mostly handy for notice of road incidents to avoid or reroute around.
second hand stores are good source for dirt cheap CBs'. since they not so popular. I paid $10.00 for a Uniden 510...or Ebay,,got a TRC 427 for $14.00slow.rider, OldeSkool and truckdriver31 Thank this. -
