.
You may not be trying to be rude, but you are quite good at it.
If you haven't done a LP ,maybe the best advice is to shhh.!
If you have done one and failed, then maybe give positive feedback on where you think you went wrong and how to avoid these mistakes you made.
I've heard good and bad about LP, some people do succeed with it. So please be kind.
No need for hotheads really.

OP stated stated having 5 years between different contractors and not having the down stroke to buy a truck thru a dealer.
I just have to say , if after 5 years with fedex ground you cant save 25k not good at all , when did you decide to buy a truck yesterday.
Maybe TB could introduce you to Inga , and right your ship. -
In sept of 17 I paid 34k for the truck which was wholesale price and financed it for 24 months....in Jan of 19 I had a complete inframe done and added an apu for 27k and borrowed the money for that which will be payed off this June.
As for how I worked I meant that I ran perfectly legal and running at around 110,000 miles a year and yes I worked alot of weekends doing that when my pals were camped at home .
I run on percentage with my carrier and do well but not rich .
As for the silverado it's not the 80k pick up that most buy but a nice clean 2013 LT extended cab with 75, 000 on the clock that I paid 16,000 for .
The house I'm buying is a 50k fixer upper that I will put 30k into in improvements.
I sincerely apologize to anyone I have led to belive that I am rich , but I'm much further ahead than I was 4 years ago when I started this .
Any other questions can be answered on the Morehouse truckline thread which is well documented.
Hope this helps !VinceBlack, Turbodriven, wore out and 2 others Thank this. -
The reality is that just because you put your self in debt to lease purchase a truck that doesn’t mean your money issue are over .If the only plan you have is lease it to a carrier and run hard in the majority of cases your not really making anymore then a guy with a good company job there are company drivers making $100,000 a year there not that hard to find now including a good benefits and retirement program. When you lease or even buy a truck and your only way to make money with it is lease to carrier your just buying a job,Some need to do this maybe because where you live they might not have many options. But if you’re under the impression if you get your own truck you will make more money in most cases it’s not true.Go talk to a lender ask why is it so hard for a first time buyer to get credit for a truck they will tell the same thing the failure rate is so high it’s a bigger risk for them. You have a family it’s not about living in a truck it’s not always about making more,The years you waist living in a truck and missing time with them you can’t get back.Look at the guys on the L/P sites that claim how good they do by telling how much more stuff they buy by financing pick ups, motorcycles etc. They never mentioned how much they’ve actually and truthfully saved and actually invested for the future I personally know guys with good company jobs making a good living financing the same pick ups and motorcycles and saving an average of $10,000 a year in a 401k
