I guess if you don’t want to listen to your sales person when they say that the features needs 100% attention, or when you engage it on the car the dash says “this features requires 100% attention”, or if you read your manual and it says this feature needs 100% attention, or you ask a person with a brain about Auto pilot and they tell you it needs 100% attention...

Well after all that, you deserve what’s coming your way.

Ignorance to this is not a way out.

The same could be said for HOS.

“Officer, I didn’t know I couldn’t drive 20 hour straight, no one has told me not to for the last month I was doing it!!”

See how stupid that sounds when you put it into trucker lingo?

TX fire chief slams inaccurate Tesla crash coverage with firsthand details on Model S fire

Also, this fire was put out in 2-3 minutes as per the fire chief and they were using extra water to keep batteries cool after the fact.

Might want to read the link. Tesla says to use water. Period! Using water is the correct thing to do, as per the response guides published by the manufacturer.
But I guess you know more than the people who design and build the vehicle on how best to take care of a fire from said vehicle.

Going to be hilarious the first time somebody tries to use trucks using this tech.

I find it more funny how people who are so enamored with Tesla call anybody who questions them "butt hurt". Seems more like the butt hurt is coming from your end.

Your "proven facts" about Tesla's crash statistics while in auto pilot are a complete load of BS. The NTSB crash statistics are for ALL MILES DRIVEN on highways and city streets. Tesla auto pilot crash statistics are for highway miles only, and as any idiot is aware, most accidents happen on city streets, not highways. So comparing the apples to oranges numbers is completely deceiving.

But hey, don't take my word for it, try reading it from any number of nationally recognized publications that make the same claims, like Forbes for instance.

New Tesla Autopilot Statistics Show It’s Almost As Safe Driving With It As Without

    or this one

Tesla claims you are '7x less likely to be in a crash' with Autopilot, but the data is not that clear - Electrek

For what it's worth, my only reason for questioning Tesla and their auto pilot system is because about once a week, somebody comes on here wondering when autonomous trucks are going to take away truck driver jobs. My response is that if the world leader in this technology can't get it right, then what hope does some start up company have? It won't happen for a very long time.

From the Tesla emergency responders manual.

USE WATER TO FIGHT A HIGH VOLTAGE BATTERY FIRE. If the battery catches fire, is exposed to high heat, or is generating heat or gases, use large amounts of water to cool the battery. It can take between approximately 3,000- 8,000 gallons (11,356- 30,283 liters) of water, applied directly to the battery, to fully extinguish and cool down a battery fire; always establish or request additional water supply early. If water is not immediately available, use CO2, dry chemicals, or another typical fire-extinguishing agent to fight the fire until water is available.

NOTE: Tesla does not recommend the use of foam on electric vehicles.

Apply water directly to the battery. If safety permits, lift or tilt the vehicle for more direct access to the battery (see chapter 2). Water may be applied from a safe distance ONLY if a natural opening (such as a vent or opening from a collision) already exists. Do not open the battery for the purpose of cooling it.

That's not quite the same as an autonomous truck, that's called tethering. Yes the trucks in "virtual tow" are technically driverless, but they're simply repeating the actions of the human driver of the lead truck, not making their own analyses and decisions. So in a significant way, there is still a driver in control of them - as long as they don't do the Terminator thing and become self-aware....

It’s crazy how people are going crazy about a self driving car crashing & killing 2 men. Some of you are even wishing death on everyone that drives their autonomous vehicles & others saying you’re glad they died.

HOW MANY PEOPLE DIE IN HUMAN DRIVER CARS?

And don’t just say that texting and driving is what’s killing people because people were dying in car accidents before 2000
