    Out west

That may depend on where you grew up.

to me: if it is east of the sierras/Cascades it is out east someplace. East of the Rockies is the land that everyone is from and we wished they would go back.

I would move further west to get away from those masses out east but I do not swim so good.....

That why you headed out into the "dark" a few days ago? You glow as you go?

Reference to a prior post on night work in
    Phoenix.
Night shift from Atlanta to near Miami years ago paid $300 cash, load refrigerators and washer/dryers Atlanta around 2 PM, drop in Hollywood area before daylight next AM. Took tlr tag # and name/driver license # , paid you $150, and padlocked doors.Man at the other end had a key, paid you the other $150 after unloading all OK. Final leg of the old insulated tlr round from Lakeland to Minneapolis, back to Osage and eggs to NYC, Long Island potatoes to Atlanta. Florida building boom could not get appliances down there fast enough. Several drivers hated to waste dead head and quietly helped the over burdened ICC # lines.

This whole post is confusing, like why would anyone willingly live in Ohio.

    Correction-Wrong intelligence
Careful. Overdose rate is way up in Oxford, MS. Emotions are /were running high. More this past 6 mo to date than all last year. Course the happys could not get out to hotty-toddy very well last year, that dangerous virus ya know....10 dead, 7 in this year, per Oxford police.

Be sure to use the clutch brake by pushing it all the way to the floor, when at a stop, finding starting gear. True, you shouldn’t have to, if you left it in a gear, and pushed clutch in before stopping. Should be able to go from that gear to starting gear easily, if clutch remains pressed in the whole time. But if you put it in neutral, let foot off clutch, you’ll definitely need to push clutch all the way to the floor, to engage clutch brake. To avoid grinding. Either way, just use clutch brake, pushing it all the way to the floor, when going into your starting gear, from a stop. It won’t hurt anything. Never give it any fuel when letting clutch out. Only afterwards, once you’re rolling. Then wind it up to 1550 rpm let off fuel, push clutch in take out of gear, into neutral, then push clutch in put into next gear. I’m guessing they want you to demonstrate double clutching technique. I have a hard time with it myself. Had to practice to pass the test. I’d have a hard time now, trying to do it smoothly. Just concentrate on your shifting, and what gear your in, and take your time. I cheated on the downshifting part, told the instructor, I could do some downshifting to a stop, but it wasn’t really necessary, since we weren’t loaded, and just extra wear on the Truck. Brakes were plenty for stopping!! He liked that, said I respected the equipment. Lol. I was nervous about downshifting to a stop.
