I need help with my n14 problem is that once truck reaches 180 degrees truck will derate will not go above 1500 rpms if you stop and let the truck cool down then it will run fine again and as soon as it gets to 180 degrees will loose power again I already change the intake temp sensor the water temp sensor, throttle position sensor, bypass the heat exchanger, bigger fuel filter and shutoff solenoid and still does the same thing. Also mechanic wasn’t able to find the diagnostic plug on the truck does any one know the location of it. Thank for the help

Plug should be left of the steering wheel above the fuse box. There’s another close to the ecm, but I don’t remember exactly where.
Have you checked the voltage going to the water temp sensor?

I do not know your truck exactly but many have duel sending units. One for the gauge and one for the ECM. I would look for another one. The smaller L10 and M11's even had some on the right side of the block.
Scanning for faults will be good if you get that connector located.

    spsauerland and 062 Thank this.
