10 foot spread vs 12 foot spread

One time, Goldilocks snuck into a trailer dealership. She saw three spreads. She first pulled the 8'.

"Oh no!" She said. "This is just too close together."

Then, she pulled the 12'.

"Oh no!" She said. "This one is just too far apart."

Then she pulled the 10'.

"Oh yes!" She exclaimed. "This one is just right!"

I think that's how the story went.

10ft spread with dump valves on both axles. 12foot I don’t think you see any advantages.

 

Just curious.... why do you want to go to a spread on a reefer? Even with a dump valve you will eat through tires like crazy.
