This thread has had a lot of information and relatively good posts

But I think at the end of the day the DOT will look at it like the many different posts and that is how they, that particular officer thinks it’s supposed to be

So my guess is depending on how we use PC we have a 50/50 chance of a violation or not

I don't understand this huge deal with using pc to go home. Companies don't pay you to go home. But you're going to drive in order to go home anyhow, aren't you?

    :yes2557:

So do it. Get on that bad boy motor scooter and ride!

Don't have enough drive time to make it home in drive? Park it and wait for more drive time to accumulate. Then begin counting hometime when you actually get home.

    Doesn't that sound amazing?

    :yes2557:

OR you can do like this Al Capone of trucking has done before and violate your 11, 14, or even 70 hour clocks.

And you know what happens after 34 hours, don'tcha? That's right. You get a fresh 70.

All that pissing and moaning about using pc gets thrown out like a piss bottle from a white Volvo.

    As always, have nice day.

The question is how much time and/or how many miles are allowed when one is on a legal PC. If you don't have numbers don't bother

Hate to tell you this but no that's not true. I have pc's from NYC to California going home empty. Was stopped in Missouri and asked about it. Told them I was going home and had no problems. Matter of fact I'm doing g it now from Indiana. Pc is defined as being of a personal nature. I am not under any dispatch. Granted an officer could!d say something but its not agenst the
Rules. Also safety at the company I'm leased to has no problem as well

Just because you got away with it. Doesn't make it legal. If your home is your base of operations. Then it's not PC.

I already told you the numbers. They are infinite. There is no limit. There is no reg saying there is a limit.

Not sure how else to spell this out for you. There's no reg that shows a limit, because there's no limit.

    PERSONAL (adjective)
    1. of, affecting, or belonging to a particular person rather than to anyone else.
    2. of or concerning one's private life, relationships, and emotions rather than matters connected with one's public or professional career.

"Driver, why did you show PC here on your log?"

    "Can't tell you"

    "Why?"

    "It's personal"

The point is that is no definitive answer for pc it is the use of the commercial vehicle for personal use that is no set time limit or mileage limit.
