Motorized Fire Stick Antenna?

    All,

    I was considering installing an old school motorized antenna mount with a fire stick antenna to my 96’ f350. The purpose would be to deploy/hide the antenna via a rocker switch in the cab, not like the old days where it was wired to the ignition. Not sure about the mounting location yet. I’m by no means an expert so I was just gonna see if y’all had any input or if anybody had tried a project like this before.

    Sort of a good idea but the bandwidth is so narrow that a motorized system is useless. A electronically switched system would work better.

    Thanks for the input, I’ll have to look into that. I’ll keep this thread updated if I complete the project as well.
