    I've done something I've wanted to do since I got this headache rack and that's put lights in it. I may add work lights later, but they'll probably go on top so as to be able to aim them.

    This leads to the question...how best to wire them, now that they're in there? Does anyone have a light bar that they've installed and wired up and could offer suggestions? 20210425_125201.jpg 817.jpeg

    Mine has a full set of lights from Bruner.
    They ran a big cord down the backside and enclosed it in stainless cover.
    They put a junction box on the frame and ran the light cord into it then attached the headache rack lights and the trailer cord to the box. Very clean and no problems for 7 years.

    Pretty much how I'd do it. Only difference being maybe a sealed connector to make it easier to remove the headache rack should the need arise.

    So yours is run by the trailer pigtail? That's what I want, just for the separate turn/brake lights. My other option was going to be watertight 3-way connectors to the truck harness.

    It would seem that the most difficult part of this project is finding a junction box

    Those junction boxes should be easy to find. I see them in every auto part, commercial truck part and RV part store.

    That's what I was thinking, although I haven't needed one for about a year not sure if they are a part of the corona parts shortages / price hikes, and if they aren't didn't want to jinx myself into not being able to find one next time I need it!
