On an unrelated note I got an email from Millis last week asking me to consider coming back. I was surprised because I always thought their policy was if you left twice you can't come back a 3rd time.

I've always heard that it was their unwritten policy that you couldn't come back after your third time.
Desperate times though. There's an awful lot of bobtails down here in Albany today. Surely they're not all drivers home for the weekend.JOHNQPUBLIC Thanks this. -
I was thinking it could be a sign that the person who said they had a lot of empty trucks was right.

Speaking of Albany. That's the condition someone left 12255 in. It was also the only empty available. #millispride

I'm only sticking around because so far all of the changes that weren't supposed to happen hasn't really negatively affected me that much....yet. Just as soon as they do, I'm out.
I had a driver ask me not long ago "So when is your truck gonna turn white?" I told them approximately two weeks before my last day.JOHNQPUBLIC Thanks this. -
I was exactly like you. Closing Weedsport negatively affected me so I left. As soon as that message came out I knew my days were numbered. I was out on my regular cycle of work when it happened and I left when I got back home a couple weeks later. I didn't plan on doing it that quick but those winter driving incidents that I mention before also took place during this same period I was out and I decided that was it.

Just for your knowledge Weedsport has been sold, it will still be used as a drop lot along with employee parking. No access to bldg.JOHNQPUBLIC Thanks this.

They've been there for almost a month and it seems like the pile is growing.
Even during holidays you wouldn't see that many BT's.
I wonder if Opie got anything when they sold out. He seemed like the guy everyone appreciated and wanted to work for.
Guys, let me tell you. MOST of trucking is pretty much the same.....only different colored trucks.
Good luck.hotrod1653, Still undecided, MIT and 1 other person Thank this. -
I heard it was going to be sold from one of the mechanics who got canned when they closed it. At least it can still be used for parking. Won't be able to drop some loads for long during the winter like we used to without the heaters being refilled by the shop but better than nothing.
