    Bunch of party poppers, lol...
Covenant is mostly a team operation, but if you are willing to partner up with someone, they're a great company.
First, I'd think a refresher course would be in order, but that's just my opinion. Get your endorsements. Ask the covenant recruiter to be sure. They'll put you thru a one month training with a certified trainer and then help you get matched up with a teammate.
Then we do 90 percent drop and hook, most of which is pull thru drops. We have an account pulling doubles which is no backing. You'll need your endorsements for this account.
Our trucks are automatic with 350k miles or less. All are automatic and have lots of bells and whistles. We also have good benefits and pay rates, for a starter mega.
There's a job for everyone in this industry. Like they said though, the more you get a chance to back up, the better you get.

I was taught and remembered from doubles or HazMat endorsement that HM should/must be carried in the front trailer if only one trailer was carrying HM.

You guys are right. I'll just have to back up trailers. My fear is getting to some random town or city and having to back in off a busy road.

FFE has a terminal in SLC. You will have to fly to Dallas to do a refresher. Their OTR for the most part is terminal to terminal, drop & hook.

If helping out the local or regional division they usually send you to the easier shippers as a newbie. Easy in & out.

    Trucks are automatics.

It happens, I have a few places I go to where I do just that. It’s not that tough AFTER you practice enough to get comfortable with backing.

That’s when you drop off the trailer you’re delivering and hook up a different one to leave with.

Thanks. So drop and hook is like a trailer swap in the middle of a lot? Or back the trailer to a dock and then hook up to a different trailer at another dock?

Drop & hook is, you pull into the yard, find a spot & and unhook your trailer. Then when your next load is ready, you hook up to that trailer.

You are not waiting on them to load or unload.
