Ok guys, I'm a little perplexed. This 2ws was rebuilt around 100 to 150k miles ago. It has sat mostly since February and didn't get driven much before that.

The issue is it has a slight shudder/vibration like it has an injector issue. I picked it up Tuesday and put 2500 miles on it and even put some Lucas injector cleaner through it to see if it would clear up but it didn't.

The part that has me perplexed is its not that bad until 5th and 6tth gear in the 1200 to 1400 rpm. 5th gear shakes the entire truck and vibrates the dash, teeth, sack, and every thing else. 6th isn't as bad and then slight again after 6th.

It's also worse under a load.

I'm thinking that because of switching from high end of low range to low end of high its dumping more fuel causing it to be worse?

I havent checked the fuel filters yet, but they aren't cat. I drained the water separator and it seemed fine. I'm going to talk to talk to the old cat mechanic where I park at but I'm just curious at this point.

Also, slight blow by but not bad.

    Guesses?

    Sure its not driveline related?

Had a bad u-joint once. Felt like someone was kicking my seat but only in a narrow range of about 4 or 5 mph. Above or below that speed it was hardly noticeable.

No I'm not. I just got home about an hour ago. I'm going to check it thoroughly tomorrow.

Had a simular issue with a C15 a few years back. Turned out to be a bad U-Joint that would make it feel like i was a rock in a paint shaker at around 42MPH to 51 MPH. Ended up deforming the drive shaft a bit because the owner made me drive it like that for 3 weeks.

Throw it in neutral when you get in 5th and see if the vibration persists at idle.

Well, the ujoints are fine but it sure looks awful wet all the way down that side the puke tube is on.

How's it feel if you hold it at 1,800rpm in neutral?

"Well, the ujoints are fine but it sure looks awful wet all the way down that side the puke tube is on."

Are you talking about the crankcase vent? Blowby?
