When the tow truck driver opens your door. You look at him and say: We really gotta quit meeting like this.

From the same producers that brought you: "You'll be fine. Drivers do it all the time!"

Yeah, in a day cab maybe...

LOL...at least they left you a note.

You know it's going to be a bad day when the foreman meets you where you turn off the highway onto the dirt and says "Jump in the pickup with me and we'll take a look before you bring the big truck in. There's a couple of steep spots but I got a Cat on one and a skidder on the other to pull you. Coming back out the skidder can yo-yo your trailer down the steep parts so it won't go too much sideways on you. Maybe you'll come back for another load. Nobody else ever has".

I have never received an e-mail like that.
But then, I have never sent out things requesting info on another job either.

I started as OTR around 2015 and I remember that just about every time that capstone was the lumper it would take an insane amount of time. I remember I had like 6 pallets once, and I waited several hours for them to unload. I went inside after about 2 hours and talked to one of the guys in the warehouse and he told me the guy went out to lunch. I asked why. His response? "The mans gotta eat!". Meanwhile I'm about to get stuck at national beef in Ontario OR for 10 hours with only a honeybun and an energy drink to my name. lmao never again.
