The only thing I know about lumber is that the Trump admin. levied a significant tariff against Canadian lumber. Now that there’s a huge demand for lumber is that tariff still in place?

Maybe Florida and the southeast is different, fuel haulers get very little harassment from DOT.
I get inspected about once every couple of months. I have had just about every inspector tell me all he is doing is getting his quota for a tanker hazmat inspection. It’s usually a quick inspection and over with.

    The tariff was minimal.
The inflation problem is going to get worse. When the government dumps trillions of dollars into the economy and there are fewer goods, it’s a recipe for disaster.

Hos exemption won't get them far enough to put a dent in this thing.
    We're already running 60 hours a week, occasionally 70...
Can't squeeze blood from a turnip.
    Can't get enough drivers.
Hauling gas isn't much of a pain, though it's a little more intensive than bumping docks.

I disagree. 70 hrs/week at my job grosses about $129k/yr. Where else are Drivers making that?

Ugh. 70 is more than enough. I’m not looking forward to it.

That’s close to the same as working 40 hours a week at $30 an hour,
Which is what the company I work for pays us to drive around in the company car and take water samples from wells and drive them to a lab

The fuel drivers and haz mat tankers should be earning $100k for working 40 hours a week .
