I worked for TMC for seven months and left and now I cannot get another trucking job, because TMC tells all of the other companies they fired me. I have evidence of me quitting by taking pictures of text communications where I give my two week notice and my fleet manager refusing to honor it. The ####### even claimed to was losing him money like I am supposed to be concerned about his pay check when he never was concerned about mine in the 7 months I was there. I learned why I was getting denied from a fellow cdl school classmate who found out from P&S that TMC has been telling everyone they fired me. Again, I have text communications that disprove this. What should I do to get back out on the road?

There has to be more to the story. Way too many companies need way too many people for one bad reference to be much more than a speed bump.

There is nothing more to the story other than the fact that my fleet manager refused to accept my two week notice and started being belligerent as soon as I notified I wanted to leave the company. I just reread the texts I sent him during this exchange and he told me I was losing him money by quitting, which is funny, because he never seemed concerned once whenever his decisions cost me money. I never got in any accidents or had any points counted against me for infractions with the Highway patrol . I had some issues with loads and the truck always seem to be breaking down, but these were not always my fault and many times the fault of the equipment. I have copies of the texts and emails of our conversation exchanges at the end, but i am not going to take them to court unless I am counseled to do so. I just want to get past this dirt bag trying to screw up my life.

TMC uses a service called tenstreet to do employment verification. You can sign up as a driver and get your employment record from them. As they are governed under the Fair Credit Reporting Act, you can contest anything that is incorrect.

    Tenstreet Xchange Company Signup Form

Either way, I find it hard to believe you are having trouble getting a job from what they are saying. There is simply too many places hiring.

Contact TMC's HR department and see what they say. I once had a manager that was infamous for telling you "leave immediately " once you tried to give a two week notice. I emailed him the notice, cc'ing lady at HR. Problem solved.

Many companies will hire you and don't care if you were fired as long as the firing wasn't due to a wreck or theft or tickets.
    Are you in Louisiana?

Accepting second hearsay as gospel, is not a good way to go. Find out via your DAC report, and whatever company you're applying to, plus a formal request to TMC, what is listed as your termination cause, and proceed from there.

IF YOU DL IS CLEAN, then simply go and talk to manager of a trucking company you looking to work for.
With covid it might be little harder then usual , but if company need a driver they will listen your story.
Of course ONLY IF YOU ACCIDENT FREE.
That's how I got hired 2 times before I even send application, and with Knight ,"termination , not for rehire " note on DAC.

I've heard of people who call a company's HR, acting like they are looking to hire themselves, and actually see what the company is saying about them.
