Step decks are cool looking, so add that to the list.
I'm out of SA too. Run a regular spread. Come on in, the water's fine.

I like step better, easier to climb onto, then I got old and got a DD, easier yet to climb onto, now I’m older I got a DD with a 9” deck height.
That is how you choose a trailer.kylefitzy, dngrous_dime, Diesel Dave and 7 others Thank this. -

I run a step deck with ramps at work delivering small excavators and boom lifts for our rental division. Another company moves the bigger stuff on a lowbed. Fits our needs perfectly

I personally prefer open flat not step.
Its far less ambiguous and quite a bit harder for loaders to mess up, more room for real size sideboxes, and no messing with extra ramps, risers and tying around wheelwells. Additionally, im tallish so i dont like having to lean down like that to tighten straps 1 click at a time.
Other benefits that may be drawbacks depending on pov, weight, i can carry more weight on my flat than a step (currently can do 50k even). 45k Coils on steps scare the hell outta me, too much flex both up and down right and left for me even if center of gravity is lowerSpeed_Drums, Dadetrucking305 and cke Thank this.
