Every ad I’ve ever seen for SW says the loads are driver assist, which involves moving pallets to the back of the trailer with a jack. From all I’ve heard, you might have just walked out on a pretty good job.

Well I guess I will tell the while story. The add i replied to said otr driving position So I applied, expressed my concern with unloading told her I had Scoliosis and that if this is a driver assist that I can't do it due to my back. She said NO this is a otr lob you will doing drop/hook az, ca,tx,il,nv. Only maybe once a month unload front front of trailer to end. Then it taken off with a forklift. Fast forward 3 weeks all Endorsements hired on sent to California 2 weeks orientation, you have to provide all your meals for that time. Another thing not told to me. 2nd day of orientation I'm told I will be unloading my trailer 7 stops from reno,nv to San Diego. Sonlike I said just another trucking company who lies to get you there. Have a nice day

Sorry it didn’t work out for you there. My daughter has scoliosis too. It hasn’t affected her much so far, but she’s only 21. I worry how it may affect her later in life. Anyway, good luck. I hope you find something that suits you better.

Sorry to hear that. They really need to better educate the people that recruit these positions on the what the job entails. They told my bil's brother that he was expected to work 14 hours a day, 6 days a week. Say what? That's not even close to legal much less what a normal week is for me.

For the record, they do have drivers that do nothing but feed us city guys peddle routes, d/h, but those guys have usually been here a long time and have health issues (like you) that make it difficult to tailgate paint all day.

I'm sorry that happened to you. I'm out of Effingham and the job was explained quite accurately to me. It sounds like they have someone who did not know what they are talking about!!

I have 1 year and 11 months. When I start I will be a week away from my 2 years. They will make me wait a week?
