@LameMule yes the crankcase tube. The blowby doesn't look that bad but it's definitely oily under there. I haven't held it at 1800 in neutral yet.

Ok, check all injectors and they seem to be fine. Checked all 3 ujoints and replaced 1 questionable one. 1800 rpms in neutral feels fine.
Still has the violent shake in 5th and some in 6th. If I really ease the rpms in 5th it's not bad at all, but it has to be real easy.
All drive tires need replaced, but that wouldn't cause a violent shudder in just one gear I dont think -
Does it do it at the same speed in a different gear?
AModelCat Thanks this. -
Might take a good look at the carrier bearing/center support as well as any slip yokes.
Bean Jr. Thanks this. -
I'm leaning towards maybe the trans since it's those 2 gears
-
I changed out a carrier bearing in a Toyota and re-installed the driveline out of time, the thing felt like it had square wheels.
Sometimes things appear just fine but most certainly are not.Bean Jr. Thanks this. -
So, skipped 5th gear. 4th to high range and into first gear position and its still there
-
Could possibly be your Jack Shaft. They can cause nightmares also.
