Any white Volvo or wore out Pete that’s a company truck.

the volvos seem to struggle maintaining a lane and see getting passed as an affront to their ego.
The old Pete’s are the guys that will die before they get passed by a “crapscadia” lol

not proud to admit but ive played the “down hill jam” once or twice.

Agreed on the volvos, while im sure there are good volvo owners out there. For every good sensable O/O with a volvo i have met. Ive run across 50 cowboys. Also seen it with petes. Had more then a few play games with my 579. I usually just pull over to water a tire when it happens though.

I used to get annoyed. Nowadays i just shrug and go back to listening to my books.

I’ll quietly call them some names in my truck to myself then just bump the cruise down a few mph.

Sometimes a good rant and rave to yourself is good

What’s this have to do with anything? If you can’t manage a trailer with the tandems anywhere other than most of the way forward you probably need to reevaluate your driving abilities. A lot of drivers every day somehow manage to get around this country of ours with various trailer and axle set ups. It simply comes down to not paying attention rather than trailer axle location.

Blue jeans, Bud A., BoostedTeg and 2 others Thank this.

If this guy hadn’t hit the concrete he would have taken out the fence

but I’ve run over stuff too.

I ran over a Gate post and backed off of it and went on in the facility.
Then realized there was a camera pointed right at the Gate so they would easily be able to tell who did it. So I told the receiver “ I think someone ran over your gate post,—-pause —“ I was just fixing to add “it was me”
But he pulls up the video feed and right as he switches it on, there is a truck driving right over the top of it.

so he got the blame for it since he ran over it after I did, while the guy was watching it happen live .

I now work for a company that installs Enviromental protection and treatment systems at gas stations and truck stops and we had our system in the corner of the parking lot of a truck stop with a fence around it and the concrete barriers about 20 feet out from the fence.

and the concrete barriers were constantly getting run over and pushed into the fence.

I showed up to work on the system one way and the concrete barrier was pushed into the fence and the truck that did it was still there ,
And I could tell since there were small bits of concrete sitting on TOP of the trailer bumper that was touching the barrier.

so I wake up the driver and tell him he hit the fence and he Said “I did not “ and then drove away.

i had already photographed the damage and his truck info but since I knew we were going to be removing the fence in a few months I never emailed the pics to the company.

Swift has to be either lazy or incompetent..that is p&g neelys landing and all trls have tandems to the back...just didn’t bother to slide them up at all after hooking the trl...plenty of room..but yes also like many don’t even bother to use mirrors..

Not a big deal, doesn’t look like any real damage. The rookie said it was his first week or something, probably in a hurry and forgot to move his tandems back up after bumping the dock and didn’t realize how wide he’d have to turn. We’ve all hit/ran over something, and if you haven’t you ain’t been driving long enough or you’re a #### liar.

People do dumb #### and I’m people too. If he did something serious I’d probably laugh but it wasn’t even bad enough to raise an eyebrow.

because if you dont take the time and do things right. then what else havent you done. i always set my trailer up the right way. i always check if slide pin handle is in and all 4 pins are out. so since i focus on the right way. then i drive and turn the right way.
