Practical Miles vs Hub Miles

I’ve had rand McNally give me dumb routes way more then google maps.

in both instances I didn’t take them, the gps is only a tool, it’s not driving the truck. I know some drivers can’t understand this.

 

Yes.....look over the route on a map, find the proper route to the docks via G Maps Satellite view, WRITE YOU DIRECTIONS ON PAPER. You will get there every time. BTW......95+% of the time, your GPS or G Maps will catch on to your route. Remember, there are MANY ways to get to your location......and usually one BEST way. Your eyes and your brain can outsmart an algorithm every time.

 

HHG and the earliest computer point to point mileage program [main frame days] were not zip code to zip code but county code to county code, every county. Even Montana has more than 4 counties...
