Not all companies are bad. I worked for a few east Indian companies. Two of the four east Indians I worked for were/are good companies that's about 50%, not great but could be worse.
Challenger was good but crap pay.
Immigrants/new drivers do get dinged one way or another. Best is to sign on with a medium to large sized carrier starting out. There's still money to be made out there, my company is doing very well out of Ontario running canada-usa regional (we have about 30 trucks).
Money = experience. (Out of Ontario atleast). See jobs for trimac starting at the 35 an hour as long as you have 3 years of experience. From what I heard Tim Hortons/McDonalds isn't bad either. I'm going to get another year of experience in for a total of 3 years and than I'll apply for a actual long term company.

I wish Gordon Food services didn't suck so bad, I live 5 mins from them, and i'm pretty sure I would do mostly Mall deliveries from this DC. I used to do mall deliveries for Bison and I really enjoyed it.
LCV is paying OK but not great, however I knew that going in and taking a dedicated schedule over open board. -
