Those ones I posted are like a few pounds a piece and I think $60 a piece. Problem is, they are sized to fit. So you need multiple sizes depending on what you haul the most of. Times however many coils you have. Honestly, I think I'm just going to break down and put a Conestoga kit on my already heavy trailer. I've pretty much talked myself into it.....lol.

Yeah, my new yard isn't exactly user friendly or I would swath the dang thing and be done with it.

That's the fun of the flattop griddle....seems everyone wants to try their hand and being a diner cook....tossing, mixing, the clanging metal on the grill....just hanging out on the deck visiting and cooking.

I don’t know your trailer or your equipment you have, but if you really needed to add 4 straps to a skid, throw an extra across the middle. If you are really adventurous and have the equipment to do it, Union Jack it.

By the way, kudos to you. That loader thought you were a dummy.

On these coils, 3 straps. 2 in an X over the top, one across the center. Use some form of edge protection on these. When making the X, usually put the hooks in in front of the front coil and behind the rear coil, this makes the clamp and pull to the center. Wouldn’t worry to much about tripping them, the skids are cheap and will come apart. If you do want to, put a 4X4 under the edge of the skid and strap in place.
