Wow lol he said he'd like to get home more, and they put him in a truck with a bunch of issues, with the speed thing being 1 of them. Nowhere in there did he say he was wanting to leave solely because of 2mph but good job being a dick for no reason. He's a good driver with a good head on his shoulders so maybe next time try not to be such a prick for no reason.

I still wonder about the appointment times. I keep hearing "you're fine" if I'm early or on time, and haven't figured out if the arrival time is getting to the security guard or backing into the dock. And where "I started out here a half hour early and then you guys sent me to another building where they sent me back here" fits into the arrival time. After seeing some of the stuff other drivers do customers don't have much to worry about with me.

I forgot and turned the engine off once before using the microwave and it set off the low voltage alarm before the microwave was done.
Are we still supposed to use the high idle speed with the Paccar engines? It doesn't change the oil pressure much, and it's over the 30 psi mark that was important for the Cummins engines.

It's pretty funny how many people like that guy lurk in this post and contribute exactly nothing to the conversation, but have to offer their dissent when they see something they don't like.

Reminds me of those ######## that keep their radios turned off until they want to cuss at somebody then they'll turn it on, cuss, then turn it right back off.

Alright y'all I have two questions:

    1. When delivering beer to the brewery in Milwaukee, which gate should I take it to?

    2. Does the WalMart in Chantilly, VA still let us park overnight?

1 - Don't know. Luckily for me I never went there much.

2- I parked at the convention center next to Walmart once but it was after a blizzard. Not sure if no one bothered me because of the weather situation or if it is good to go normally. I want to say there is no parking signs for the Walmart but don't quote me. Some drivers said they would park on the street outside of the customer there in Chantilly but there are some signs on that street that say no parking so I never did it.

    1. Unfortunately you take it to the gate where our loaded trailers are, underneath the bridge. Then you pray they don’t give you the spot across from the light and its barricades.

That sounds like one of the spots over where we deliver glass at the brewery in Albany. I ain't doing that again. I'll drop in another spot and pretend there was something in the spot they gave me.

I don't wanna be that guy. But sometimes it's justified.

Never mentioned this before and pretty sure only @keen98 knew this but I am a retired police detective and got into trucking as a 2nd career. I wanted to get away from people to be honest.
My brother drives now and has for 17 years or so and my dad was a retired teamster after 39 years. I never gave it a thought before but as I neared retirement I needed a plan and trucking was it.
I took the last 3 months off and am now starting as a court officer in the local court system. Basically court security. I could have done this immediately after I retired but wanted to get away and do something different. I'm going to keep my CDL because you never know.
