    1) A new way to load totes. 14 totes weighing in just above 41k. He put 7 in the nose and 7 over the trailer tires. Scale ticket showed 11,600 the next two where 32, 3??. Near perfect, rode great but was mostly flat ground.
    2) I was not able to talk with the driver to see what it actually is called. But the tractor had some kind of a ramp or lift in between it and the dry box. Sitting on the ramp was a full dressed Harley. I'm not a Harley man myself. But if the boss will foot the bill for it, I may buy another Honda ace. And tote it around with me.
Been driving out here just over five years first time I seen that.

    Coffey Thanks this.

Original Cruiser Caddie Automatic Ramp System

at the angle of an 18 wheeler, as opposed to a pick up truck, is a whole lot more. you'd want something super strong

I always prefered a little folding gas scooter to a larger motorcycle. Less chance of some punk stealing parts off it while i was parked. Or like happened to one friend of mine have the actual bike stolen. He parked up at the TA in ####cago and a guy cut the straps and hotwired the bike then took off with it while he was in getting a shower. A folding scooter fits in some pretty compact spaces and weighs a lot less too. Not as much fun though.

and i always kept my stuff at home.

    seems to be even safer.

that set up is for the owner-operator, i cannot imagine any company driver being allowed to install that on a company truck. then too, should an o/o fall behind in his truck payments, EVERYTHING gets towed away by the repo men......

I mean your not wrong but a little scooter like this https://www.amazon.com/UberScoot-70...cphy=9023198&hvtargid=pla-1219648201837&psc=1 is handy when you want to go to the store or a restraunt out of walking distance and cant bobtail or park there, makes getting things easier and they dont need tags usually. Mine was a bit beefier with a larger motor and frame but still same concept.

You could also start at the edge of the wood where it meets the metal in the nose, putting one on one side or the other, then the opposite side of the trailer with the next one, staggering them the width or length of the tote.

Allowing you to get a strap around each one into the etrack on the sides of the trailer, having a properly secured load too.

    Just sayin.

i think that's a neat little ride. and if light enough, can be hoisted up on the back and secured with no ramp system.

but i'd not buy anything too expensive........

Most are around 50 pounds and can fold up and be stuck in the side box. You can get them from a pawm shop for around $100 or you can make them with online kits for around $200 though the kit ones tend to weigh closer to 75 pounds. Mine was 85 but im also 6'2 and very broad and wide so i needed one able to haul my fat ### around. Still miffed it got stolen out of my apartment.
