A couple of days ago I got an orange warning sticker on my windshield for parking in a residential area unattended. It also states that my vehicle was checked as well. I was just curious if this will go on my CSA score?

No. A violation has to be part of an inspection which you sign, no inspection no CSA change.

Ok thanks for the heads up. In other words if I was present in the vehicle and the officer decided to do an inspection, it could have went on my psp or affect my csa score?

What does it mean “your vehicle was checked “?
and which department left the sticker ?
Neighborhood HOA?
City ? County ? State ? State DOT? State trooper ?
was it the residential neighbor hood you live in?
Did they respond because someone called and complained ?
The city I live in doesn’t allow commercial vehicles above a certain GVWR to be parked overnight in areas that are zoned residential.
Neighbor of mine is a plumber and he has a six wheel box truck and they gave him a hassle about it, he was able to skirt the rules if he built a fence and parked it behind the fence every night .
the business I used to work at had a huge issue with people parking in their lot and walking across the street to a hospital. Since the hospital parking was a pain and cost money.
The business would pay someone to randomly sit for 8 hours a week and observe people parking and walking across the street.
They would then plaster one of those large orange decals on the window and would write the time and description of the persons clothing , so the people parking there would know they had someone watching.
They never had anyone towed, but I’m sure they would have if the same person was a repeat offender.
your sticker could have been something like that . That was from the HOA or somethingLast edited: May 17, 2021

Parking tic. and parking warnings don't count against you, As long as you pay the fine if any, they have always been just a cost of driving a truck?
Bean Jr. Thanks this. -
Do not underestimate the ravenous appetite of the FMCSA and others (HireRight etc) to condemn you.
Tickets go on your psp. Not just inspections.
They may very well take this warning. Turn it into “violation of local law or ordinance”.
I just had one. Cop said nothing official. Somehow they found out. Put on my and the companies record: no registration. I was only fed bs bu dataQ. My company got the Ca. Hwy. Patrol to demand they remove that. I’m sure the Patrolman himself looked into how the H! they even found out.
I can give you lots of examples on my record.
Turned bent mud flap hanger into No DOT approved bumper.
Turned some idiot running into my personal car into At Fault Accident in a Commercial Motor Vehicle.
Had a safety manager who was replaced as head of safety because I quit because of him. He reported on hireright that I had a preventable backing accident. I never had one.
Turning a registration ticket into Violation of local law or ordinance.Trucker61016 and bentstrider83 Thank this. -
Are you confusing your mvr with the psp? Only thing that goes on the psp are accidents, violations found during an inspection, and warnings as part of an inspection.

A citation without an inspection will not show anything on the PSP report.
Here is an example....

I stand by the Calif. registration incident. Like I said. They had it removed. Am sure the Hwy Patrolman looked into how FMCSA caught wind of it. Cop. has integrity.
FMCSA has no right turning a bent mud flap hanger into no dot approved bumper. Besides! This trailer doesn’t even require a bumper! Look at all the pneumatic tankers on the road with no bumper.
To not confuse...
The at fault accident in a commercial motor vehicle. ... I haven’t seen that on my psp. But company checking me. Wherever they got it. Claimed from insurance company. Claimed it was my dmv. No way it was. In my state. If there is a report on an accident. Goes on your dmv. My dmv clearly shows non cmv and shows no fault of mine.
I got a ticket. And an inspection. The inspection itself was clean. The ticket was just driving right lane in construction zone. It does not show up on my dmv. Does show psp. That ticket is why I left that company. It clearly shows any reasonable person would have considered the construction zone ended. Company dash cam video denied me by safety. Had a judge I had to prove innocence. I quit company. Head of safety lost his job.
The second registration I mentioned. There was no inspection. Only a cop wrote a ticket. They listed that as “violation of local law or ordinance” on my psp. Was pretty bad. Cop would have let it go if he could have verified with home state the registration. New trailer. Temp registration had a couple red flags on how filled out. Not expired yet. Inspection from a different trailer. Permanent registration and license plate sitting in office. I just did this as fill in local work. Picked up at 3am. Nobody else there. Needed to make delivery at 8am.
