Sharpened many Chain's also Brett, not near as many as you have though. Worked in the woods falling and limbing trees for a Season. One dangerous job.
But, was I ever in shape, rock solid. Old timer told me that if I didn't leave the Woods soon that I would stay there the rest of my life.
I listened to Him and bought a Truck. On my way to going into another realm, Looking like I'll owe a million bucks. Butt and Swing lives on.Brettj3876, cke, PoleCrusher and 4 others Thank this. -
There is a real Knack to sharpening a Chain, get em right on and the Saw will drop like going through butter, even on the Hardwood.

Wtf. Sorry @AModelCat . I'll take the blame for this one. My lovely wife put the snow shovels away for the year. Between 3 and 4 inches.

Wood is what we use for heat, no oil or gas, heats our hot water too. We burn between 6-7 full cords a season. Time to drop the trees is now, let the leaves and sun soak most of the moisture outta the trunk all summer long, cut, split & stack in the Fall when it cools down, have it all done by the start of deer season. I run Stihl saws, but still have a Homelite XL, with 20" bar, that runs like a champ, bought it brand new from Western Auto back in '77. I still love working in the woods, even at 60, but with no help, I gotta do it at my own pace, it's a lotta work. It gets done, but not like it did 30 years ago. OK, coffee break's over, get back to planting corn...Nostalgic, singlescrewshaker, Tug Toy and 14 others Thank this.

I was thinking about the keys the other day, too. Was wondering if there were any truck stops or places to park. Since it's kind of hard to get down there and then back up in one day.
singlescrewshaker, DeereRunner97, cke and 3 others Thank this.
