I just got my Class A CLP today. Combination, Air Brakes, Doubles/Triples, and Tanker.

I'm in Portland, OR. Hoping for some solid advice on my best next move into the industry. Are there any good companies I should go with such as Knight Transportation... or would finding an O/O looking to grow and willing to train be a good option? Thanks.

P.S. Not wanting to go to driving school... nothing wrong with it.. just would rather not.

O/O's can't afford the insurance to train someone with no CDL.

Thank you @Chinatown it is seeming that signing onto a carrier for training is probably the best option. I'll contact each of these companies and see who will provide the best deal.

    I appreciate the info.

Keep us posted; we like to see a new driver succeed and make decent money.
There's a 'short application' on those websites; submit those, then follow up with a phone call.

I want to know if Swift calls you. For the life of me I can not figure out why they never reached out or returned calls. Didn't answer email or driver pulse text message. Just really curious

I'm not applying for swift. I applied for YRC last week. Still waiting for any kind of response.

Because they are under Knight's full control now. Therefore you're dealing with king slacker's & we simply don't give a crap about you.
