That makes for a bad day. Where are you?

 

Thought it was gettin a little warm today, went to sit in the shade by the wood shed. What happened to Spring?

 

Probably can’t bring you much from Columbus, but if you need a part or @jamespmack has something you need, I will bring it up since I have to go that way.

Ok, I need to know if I was the Richard today, or if I was just dealing with a bunch of Karens. Driving East on I-40 in AR. Construction ahead. Signs saying a merge in 3 miles. Everyone is in the left lane. THREE miles back from the actual merge. Right lane is clear. So I keep tooling along. Another trucker pulls out of the left lane to block my forward progress and keep his spot with the left lane. Still over a mile to the merge. I asked him to move or get back over. He got pissy. I lost my composure and did something dumb. Not to be mentioned. The whole time this driver and several others are saying I am in the wrong.

My viewpoint. The merge ahead signs are warning signs. Just like Stop ahead, or traffic light ahead. They are telling you that you need to be cautious and prepared to take action. Till you get to the actual merge sign, stop sign, or traffic light. Same as a "reduced speed ahead" sign. It's telling you to be ready to slow down by the time you get to that sign. Traffic was backed up way farther than it needed to be due to these morons. Was I in the wrong? Or were they just whining Karens?

 

Thought mine was a boot too the way it popped. Sadly it was the shaft front of center.....

 

I dont block anyone until about 1/2mi. By that point you know wtf is coming and at 1/2mi there are 20 morons that are happy to run right upto the merge point and slam on their brakes or cut someone off.

But at 1, 2, or 3mi if you're sitting in a line of traffic that far back you're a dumb ###.

 

Appreciate the offer. My truck is old enough that there should be parts around somewhere.
